The Wedding of James and Lucy was an honest, raw and heartfelt union of two opposites in love. James is quiet and sensitive. Lucy is spirited and vivacious. Together, they are a perfect match and this was evident for all to see on their Wedding Day.
I began my day with the lads, in Hahndorf, who were dressed and ready to roll. All that was needed were some important car shots. Lucy and the girls were a few blocks away also putting together the finishing touches and celebrating with a bottle of Champagne.
K1 Wines is only a short drive from Hahndorf and was the chosen venue for this union to occur. Guests patiently waited for Lucy enjoying the backdrop of the chalet across the lake in the afternoon sun. Robyn Dennard officiated their nuptials which began with both the bride and groom shedding tears at the sight of one another. I did say it was raw!! Legals aside, they were pronounced as husband and wife and ambushed with a rose petal toss.
Whilst K1 has so many photo opportunities, the newlyweds couldn’t pass up the chance for a wander in nearby Kuitpo Forest. We then returned to the vines to capture some golden hour goodness.
The Reception was a very chilled out affair. Banquet tables filled the chalet and wood oven pizzas filled tummies. Formalities aside, guests were able to hit the dance floor and it was here that I made my exit grinning from ear to ear. What a sweet marriage this had been to witness.
