The uncertainty of COVID has had an effect upon every one of us. I’ve been very quiet on my blog for the simple reason that I’ve had less subjects to capture. I sympathise with so many of my clients forced to postpone their Weddings and the impact this has on our industry.
Susan and Stephan came to me as my COVID silver lining. Their Wedding, at the end of August, should have taken place in Stephan’s homeland France. Unable to get to their own destination Wedding, they decided to still marry on the same day with an Adelaide Hills Wedding.
Their event was small, intimate and included family streaming from France. The weather was divine and guests enjoyed the simple pleasures of sunshine and human interaction.
Susan wore a stunning gown which she accessoried with a set of DIY wings instead of the traditional veil. Her jewelery included a few art deco pieces and little Eros was their ring bearer in the absence of a Bridal Party. I love the simplicity of this Elopement Wedding.
In a years time, Susan and Stephan plan to travel to France to host their vow renewal according to all the original plans. For now, I’m so thankful they chose me to capture their Australian substitute.
