Emilio and Melissa held their Adelaide Wedding on the biggest party night of the year – New Years Eve!! This was a purposeful decision to engage their family and friends in a celebration after almost a decade together.
With a focus on party, not preparation, I began my day at the Ceremony. Guests slowly filtered in to mingle under the shade of the giant oak tree at Partridge House. Our bride wasn’t far away and announced her arrival by pulling in to the tune of Australian Muscle Cars.
Emilio is an accomplished keynote speaker who sourced a vibrant peer to manage the nuptials. Though brief in duration, Yvonne pulled together an engaging and fun Ceremony. She made the legal aspects of this wedding short and sharp whilst maintaining the personal touch.
Once wed, my couple and their crew made their way to their Reception venue on foot. Melissa was keen to get an urban vibe in their photos. We meandered down Jetty Road, stopping for a drink on the way to the Reception at The Glenelg Pier.
After arriving formalities were swift and simple with a nod to both the Bride and Groom’s cultural heritage. The couple opened the dance floor with their bridal waltz before the DJ changed the tempo. Some epic dancefloor moves followed as everyone celebrated 2018 and the day ‘Mel married Mil’.
