Jarrad and Bec’s Barossa Wedding fell on a wintery weekend back in April. The forecast delivered strong winds, rain and freezing temperatures.
My preparations began in Balaklava where both the bride and groom got ready. The boys were in town, whilst the bride was out on the family farm. I darted between the two capturing the mornings events surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
Their Ceremony took place at their local church in Balaklava. Everyone was tucked away inside, witnessing this sweet union, as the rain continued to fall. But once our couple was announced, and made their exit from the church, the rain magically stopped.
Our location plans hinged upon the weather. As we arrived in the Barossa we found luck was on our side. Ominous clouds appeared, but we worked at speed to capture all that was needed before the rain began and light was lost. Our Bridesmaids did a stellar job in the freezing temperatures, as did the Bride at managing her veil flying in the wind.
The Novotel Resort in the Barossa was the final destination. Guests eagerly greeted our newlyweds and settled in for a fantastic night of celebration. This timely reminder reinforced that rain, hail or shine it’s the people you surround yourself with that make your Wedding Day. Congrats Mr & Mrs T!
