The Fleurieu Wedding of Justin and Emily was my first visit to One Paddock Winery. Tim and Rachel were superb hosts who went above and beyond in their roles.
Emily held her preparations in the onsite accommodation whilst the boys all gathered at the Groom’s parents house in the southern suburbs. Both were surrounded by close family and friends, though the Groom prep was somewhat more raucous.
The time came for Emily to walk the aisle. Dark ominous clouds, wind and thunder claps greeted her arrival. For some of my brides, this would have been a huge stress… not Emily!! She put her best foot forward and walked the aisle to marry Justin patiently waiting at the end. Her tenacity was rewarded and the weather held off, even though they did have an undercover option.
Guests then enjoyed nibbles immediately after whilst I took the bridal party for photos. The wind did not settle and Emily’s veil was quickly removed post Ceremony. She made the switch to her Flower Crown instead, the perfect plan B.
Justin and Emily loved the relaxed vibe that One Paddock emulated for their celebration. Their vision for a banquet style meal inside the lofty shed space came to fruition. Kitchen aromas filled the air along with banter and chatter.
Shortly after their announcement, I left them to enjoy the festivities. This chilled out pair simply wanted a relaxed celebration with all their nearest and dearest and I think that’s exactly what they got!!
