Tom and Caitlin’s Fleurieu Wedding was a fusion of fun, family, colour and friends. As a lover of colour, I was delighted to see the signature elements that helped style this day.
The strong family ties this couple have were also present. The Bride wore the skirt from her Mum’s Wedding Dress, which she styled beautifully with a ‘Spell Moon Duster’. The Groom’s Mum made the Wedding Cake and both held their preparations at the family beach houses. All of the brothers and sisters had a role to play, reinforcing the importance of family.
Fleurieu Cherries was the venue they chose to host both their Ceremony and Reception. The venue provided a blank canvas that the couple could style and the space to cater for their large guest list. They held their Ceremony in a grassy clearing bordered with a couple of ancient gums. The Reception was then a banquet style event in a marquee overlooking the property.
Amy Harrison did a great job of wrangling the guests into position and keeping their focus throughout the Ceremony. At the conclusion, both the Mum’s helped to sign the register. Accoustic tunes were also supplied by relatives of the Bride acknowleding family once again.
Tom and Caitlin are such thoughtful individuals with an example being their Reception place cards. Each card had a personal message to the guest from the couple. I have never seen such a gesture in all my years photographing Weddings. It’s a testament of their kind spirits and authenticity. I was blessed that they chose me to capture their special day.
