I still remember the day that I first met Jess, with her beaming smile and Mum by her side. It was at the ‘Love Cherish Adore Hills Fair’ and I knew then and there we were going to be a good fit!!
Fast forward to their Wedding Day held at the iconic Longview Vineyard in Macclesfield. The sun shone brightly making that endless view of green vines pop.
The girls were tucked away in the homestead, preened and waiting for me to arrive. Jess had chosen some lovely items to personalise her day from the flowers, to her Elizabeth de Varga dress and those shoes. She had also chosen a bride tribe who truly made her laugh, as you’ll see from the pictures.
Once dressed, we were confined to the homestead as guests began to arrive on the lawns. The window light streaming into the main bedroom made for some lovely portraits. We then had a big reveal to both Mum and Dad, who were equally excited to see their girl as a bride-to-be.
Outside, Debbie Tester ushered all the guests in close and then purposely asked them to turn for the entrance of the bride. I recall Jess saying to me on the day, that her entrance was such a blubbery mess and what terrible photos they’d be. However, Dad was able to recover the situation and put a smile on her face with some gentle reassurance.
In front of family and friends, Nick and Jess were united as ‘Mr & Mrs’. Following the signing of the register, the newlyweds were then showered in rose petals and congratulations. Guests were then entertained by acoustic tunes with food and wine flowing.
I stole the bridal party for some pictures around the grounds. Longview is the only winery with such a variety of backdrops from the urban street art, to the endless vines, rustic country props and scattered gardens. Lucky for us, the roses along the old barn were in full bloom and perfectly complimented the bouquets.
Time flew and their Reception was calling out for it’s hosts. Jess & Nick joined their guests and I left not long after, sure that celebrations would run well into the night!!
