Personal Brand Photography is a new genre that replaces the standard headshots with an editorial approach. It’s designed to connect with your consumer at a deeper level creating an affinity.
Your personal brand is marketing to your community what it is that makes you unique? It details your beliefs and motivation (the WHY) along with your origins and support network (the WHO). Sharing this information with your wider community, especially through images, is marketing your personal brand.
I recently was asked to take ‘personal brand’ images for HELLO PARKER & CO (www.helloparkerandco.com). They’re a young laser cutting business based in the states southeast. The owner, Grace, had decided to create a website to mark her first year in business and needed content.
I spent a lazy afternoon with her in her studio documenting elements that make up ‘Hello Parker & Co’. She has a vast product range that includes signage, cake toppers, baby and kids gifts along with seasonal items. Grace recently made business signage for me, so I speak first hand when I say the workmanship is high quality at affordable prices.
Grace’s website launched a week ago and I’m pleased to be able to share a blog post. This has been created for anyone unsure what personal brand photography is and how it might help your business. Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to learn more?!
