Adelaide Hills Wedding – MICHAEL & SHANNON

Michael and Shannon’s Adelaide Hills Wedding was originally going to be a 30th Birthday Bash turned surprise nuptials.  However as plans evolved it became clear that keeping their secret was going to be harder than first thought.

These guys managed to plan and execute their event in 4 short months.  They chose Anvers Wines, which is a new venue to the Adelaide Wedding scene.  Anvers sits upon a ridge nestled between Mt Bold Reservoir and rolling vineyards.  This brand new venue evokes clean modern European vibes with a contemporary menu to match.

Bridal preparations took place at Shannon’s Family home, whilst Michael and his entourage occupied the onsite cottage at Anvers.

They held their Ceremony on the lawns overlooking the vineyards flanked only by a simple triangular arbour.  Shannon was escorted down the aisle by her brother, sister and special little neices and nephews.  The couple had a small Bridal Party which meant views were largely uninterrupted and Keryl Beckman officiated their union.  On completion the couple were covered in environmentally friendly confetti heading back up the aisle.

Bridal Party photos took place against the frontage at Anvers as this was protected from the breeze and removed from guests.  The couple and I snuck off later to take some photos in Mt Bold Reservoir which borders Anvers.  We had to be patient with time and light, but we were rewarded at sunset.

Formalities at this Adelaide Hills Wedding were loud and proud.  Though the speakers were kept to a minimum, the words shared spoke volumes about the couple and their journey.  The dancefloor was located outside in preparation for a warm balmy evening.  Though the forecast wasn’t quite as predicted, guests weren’t shy about sharing their moves in the chilly breeze as you’ll see from the final frames.  Congrats M & S!
